And I support pregnant women and new parents through a phase that looks like happiness from the outside and often feels quite different from the inside: anxiety, exhaustion, depression, a birth experience that keeps echoing.<\/p><p>That can surface years later. A difficult birth that someone put away at the time sometimes comes back with the second child.
