Psychotherapy

Deep to the Core

Can psychotherapy help me?

You may find yourself asking these and other questions at the beginning — and that’s completely natural. Do I really need therapy? Does going to therapy mean something is wrong with me? It’s very human to have these thoughts. After all, seeking support for psychological challenges is still often associated with shame and isn’t always the first step people consider.

And yet, it’s simply part of being human. We all catch a cold, break a bone, or face other health challenges at times — and in those moments, we naturally turn to professionals. So why should it be any different when it comes to our mental and emotional well-being? I would be glad to support you on your path.

In individual therapy, we focus on your current situation and your individual needs, exploring together what can best support you. In the initial phase, I take the time to build a comprehensive understanding of your situation, including your personal history and any previous diagnoses. If needed, I may recommend referrals to appropriate specialists to ensure a well-founded assessment. It is important to understand that there are no quick fixes or a single “magic solution.” or the famous allrounder tool. Meaningful therapeutic progress is shaped by our collaborative work, as well as your openness and willingness to engage in the process.

Psychotherapy: Your Path to Healing the Soul and Inner Balance

Psychotherapy — often described as the “healing of the soul” — can be a powerful step toward inner balance and emotional and mental well-being. Although it is a relatively young discipline, it gained recognition in the late 19th century through pioneers such as Sigmund Freud and later Carl Gustav Jung. Today, psychotherapy continues to evolve, with approaches such as existential therapy and schema therapy offering new perspectives and addressing fundamental human questions. This ongoing development allows us to better understand the roots of our suffering and work through them in a deeper and more effective way.

I offer guidance based on an integrative approach, drawing on a range of psychotherapeutic methods. With a background in clinical psychology and sex therapy, ongoing engagement with neuroscientific perspectives, and extensive continuing education — most recently in schema therapy — I bring a well-rounded understanding to support your individual concerns. At the core of my work is a protected space where challenges, fears, and conflicts can be explored openly and constructively. Through professional and empathetic guidance, I support you in gaining deeper insight and fostering lasting change. I am here for you, especially when things feel difficult.

Ultimately, psychotherapy enables you to embark on a powerful journey toward self-development and personal fulfillment, as well as greater clarity and strength.

Additional Support Through Coaching - with Relatingwise

If you feel that coaching may be a better fit for your needs, I offer this separately from my work as a licensed psychotherapy practitioner. Coaching allows me to support you in a wider range of areas. You are welcome to visit my website, RelatingWise.
Unlike therapy, coaching does not focus on mental disorders or psychological problems, but on personal development and growth. This does not make it any less effective — it simply reflects a different focus and starting point. Together, we clarify your direction and explore the areas that will support and strengthen you on your path. Let’s find out together what approach is the best fit for you.

Important Questions About Psychotherapy

A strong foundation for effective therapy is a thorough initial assessment and diagnosis, which we will carry out together. We will also define clear therapy goals to give our work direction and a shared focus.

From there, we will explore which next steps, therapeutic approaches, and interventions are most suitable for you. If needed, I may refer you to other specialists or consult with them for further clarification.

In addition, we will integrate exercises during our sessions, as well as reflections or tasks between sessions, allowing you to make the most of the time in between.

You can easily book your free discovery call online using the button on this website. Therapy sessions can be scheduled online (via this booking link) or arranged together during our sessions.

Services provided by a licensed psychotherapy practitioner are generally not covered by statutory health insurance. However, private or supplementary insurance may cover part or all of the costs. Please check with your insurance provider for details.

A session is 50 or 80 minutes long if it is an individual session. In the case of a couples session, 80 minutes are scheduled.

It’s not possible to determine this in advance, as each situation and each concern is unique.

In my experience, it’s unlikely that everything resolves after just one session. At the same time, even a single open and clarifying conversation can bring meaningful relief.

This depends on various factors, including your specific concerns and personal circumstances such as time and availability. As a general guideline, weekly sessions are a good starting point. For more acute situations, sessions may be scheduled more frequently, while longer-term support can be adjusted more flexibly over time.

Please refer to the fees outlined on my Fees page. Costs vary depending on the duration of the session and the time of day.

Within this practice, I offer psychotherapy exclusively. Coaching is available separately through my business, RelatingWise, where I provide additional support services. You are welcome to visit the website to learn more and gain a deeper impression.

The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. A sense of trust, safety, and connection forms the foundation for meaningful and lasting change — which is why it’s essential that you feel comfortable and supported in our work together.

As everyone has different needs and expectations, this can feel different for each person. After exploring this website, you may already have a first impression of my work, and the discovery call offers an opportunity for us to get to know each other personally.

In accordance with my professional code of conduct, I am bound by strict confidentiality. If you would like me to communicate with other professionals or individuals on your behalf, I will ask for your explicit consent.

Sessions take place at my practice at Grillparzerstraße 23, 81675 Munich. The location is easily accessible — just two bus stops north of Ostbahnhof, directly on tram lines 19 and 21, and within walking distance of the Leuchtenbergring S-Bahn station. Paid parking is available nearby, and residential parking regulations may apply.

Current research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions — so you are very welcome to take advantage of this option.

I use Jitsi for video online sessions, which is compliant with EU GDPR regulations. Further information can be found in my privacy policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me — we will find a suitable solution together.

As a licensed practitioner for psychotherapy, I am authorized by the state to provide psychotherapy under the German Heilpraktiker Act (Heilpraktikergesetz). In contrast, psychological psychotherapists complete a university degree in psychology, followed by additional specialized training and licensure in psychotherapy.

My initial training took place primarily at the Academy for Sexual Therapy (AkST), where I completed 112 hours of training in clinical psychology, along with an additional 112 hours focused on practical work and therapeutic methods in sex and couples therapy. Since then, I have continued my professional development with further training in Schema Therapy and am currently undertaking a 210-hour training in Sexocorporel. I regularly engage in ongoing professional development and supervision. You are welcome to learn more on the About Me page or contact me if you have any questions.

First, try to remain calm and reach out to trusted relatives or friends. If that’s not possible, you can contact local crisis services or a telephone counseling service. In urgent situations, please call 112.

I work with an integrative approach, combining different therapeutic methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, talk therapy, schema therapy and sexocorporel. I will choose the approach that best fits your individual needs and concerns.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and continuously expand my expertise across related fields. I have a particular interest in classical psychotherapists and psychoanalysts such as Carl Gustav Jung and his work on archetypes. I also deepen my knowledge through literature, courses, and training with experts such as

– Julie & John Gottman for couples therapy

– Melanie Büttner and Ulrich Clement for sexual therapy and sexual trauma

– Esther Perel for relationships and affairs

– Peter A. Levine and Melanie Büttner for trauma

– Om Rupani, Gillian Pothier for liberated sexuality and polarity work

– Shefali Tsabary for Conscious Parenting

In addition, I engage with neuroscientific topics such as Joe Dispenza or Eastern philosophies and can incorporate many insights through the connection of mind, body, and soul.

Holistic psychotherapy for a stronger, more fulfilling life

Psychotherapy is a multifaceted field that supports people in navigating psychological challenges and living more fulfilling lives. Among its many areas, sex therapy and couples therapy are particularly close to my heart.

Sex therapy addresses the many dimensions of human sexuality, including its emotional, physio- and psychological aspects. In a society often shaped by taboos, shame and uncertainty, it provides a safe and supportive space to talk openly about sexual concerns, challenges, or questions of identity. It supports people in better understanding their sexual well-being and developing a more fulfilling sexuality.

Couples therapy, on the other hand, focuses on the dynamic relationships between partners. In partnerships, diverse challenges can arise, whether through communication problems, breaches of trust, or differing life goals. Couples therapists support couples in strengthening their relationships, managing conflicts, and building a deeper connection with each other. Various therapeutic approaches are used to consider the individual needs of each partner and develop shared goals.

An integrative approach that brings together sex therapy and couples therapy can be especially effective. Relationships and sexuality are deeply interconnected, and challenges in one area often impact the other. Psychotherapy offers a space for open dialogue, emotional growth, and the development of meaningful coping strategies.

Psychotherapy is not only about addressing acute challenges, but also about personal growth and developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your partner. Working with a qualified therapist can help you navigate inner conflicts, strengthen your relationships, and lead a more fulfilling and satisfying life.
